Big 25 Celebrations: Wet Republic at MGM Las Vegas

Today, I wanted to dedicate a post to one of my best friends, Janice (of Coastalpolitan)!

We've been roommates for the past three years, but we also went to UC Berkeley together, moved to New York (for our summer internships and after graduation) and worked on the same floor for over 2 years! Although my upcoming cross-country move means we won't be physically close to each other anymore, I know we will stay great friends because of all we've been through together =)

Please help me in wishing Janice a happy 25th birthday!

Here's to the next 25 years! =)

We both wanted to do it big this year, so last month, we celebrated our birthdays together in Vegas (date between our birthdays). We went to

Wet Republic at the MGM Grand

for their daytime pool party (we heard that Wet Republic at MGM and Rehab at the Hard Rock were THE best pool parties, but Rehab is more of a Sunday party and we wanted to go Saturday). This was our first time going to a Vegas pool party and we were super excited, but overwhelmed by the idea of planning for 40 people!

A few things made our Wet Republic experience so awesome:

  1. Avicii was scheduled to spin on the day we were going (YES!)
  2. Our amazing friends loved us so much that they woke up around 9am after a night of partying to come to the party and pitched in for our cabana reservation and
  3. We had an AMAZING host, Jon Fong, who made sure everything went according to plan and an amazing server, Danielle, who was so sweet and made our day!

Now, I will let the photos speak to how fun the day was =) Scroll to the bottom if you want more info on Wet Republic and the host we worked with, Jon Fong's contact info.

Please give him a call if you're going to Vegas anytime this summer and want to go to Wet Republic or any other clubs (he can help and is awesome!).

When we first got there it was around 9/10am, so we just chilled and hung out at the pool. Some of the girls and our floppy hats!

Then it started getting crowded... and into the water we go!

Cabana = key

Around 3pm, Avicii finally takes the stage and it really starts getting crazy!

Avicii! We were at the very front. Left of Avicii's head is Janice in the white hat and I am behind his head =P

We finally left around 5pm, after a whole day of partying to nap for a few hours before the night's activities. It was the most fun I've had at a "club" ever and I can't wait to go back again someday!

Thanks to everyone for coming out!!! <3

After seeing how crowded it gets here, I would highly recommend getting a cabana, table or day bed or something if you have a large enough group.

Jon Fong was our VIP host and he was awesome so please reach out to him!
