NYC: Fashion's Night Out 2010

Last Friday, I was lucky enough to check out all the hype around Fashion's Night Out (FNO). From what I have gathered, FNO is basically a kickoff event for Fashion Week that Anna Wintour (Editor of Vogue) created to get more customers in the stores to buy new Fall items at full price. It started last year after the last year's crazy recession. What that means for us is that tons of stores stay open late, invite celebrities to make appearances, have DJs spin at stores and serve cocktails and hors d'œuvres! I even convinced my bf to brave the crowds with us by bribing him with the free drinks + food =P

I hadn't done much research ahead of time on which stores we should hit up, but my friend Jenn did the legwork and guided us to the right stores to see all the excitement. We started at Bergdorf Goodman at Fifth Ave and 59th St and worked our way down Fifth Ave.

This is just a preview of the craziness going on that night. Jing said he noticed the drivers were EXTRA aggressive (imagine that! New York drivers being EXTRA aggressive -- scary!)
Jenn, Janice, me and Jing -- the FNO crew!
We spied Bar Rafaeli through the window at Armani -- we didn't want to wait, but if we did we could've taken a photo with her like this guy!
Jing and me at Tommy Hilfiger... aren't these stairs awesome? Their decor is pretty cool and very un-Tommy at least in my impression of the brand.
Hanging out at the Ciroc vodka bar at Versace
A "live" model at Versace... she looked so fake/perfect!
This was her male counterpart
More "live" models outside of Sephora
Another "live" model SHOWERING in the window display! Jenn (left) said she passed by the next day and he was there again haha. This was probably the most creative/interesting advertising I saw all night.
My only regret is that we didn't make it down to SoHo! Kanye West was tweeting like crazy about all the happenings down there and he sounded like he was having a really awesome time, saying that he believed there was a god again and all for all the beautiful women on the streets haha.

Anyway, FNO 2010 was an awesome night! I hope/wish I can go again next year if I'm still around the area! Thanks Jenn, Janice and Jing for a great night =)
