NYC: Restaurant Week and Broadway Week

For all my East Coast friends, I hope you're keeping warm after last night's snow storm and the 23 degree weather! I snapped the photo on the left during my frigid walk to work this morning -- beautiful scenery I think, but way too cold!

I've always thought January was one of the most disappointing months of the year -- yes, it's the start of a new year, but without the excitement of Thanksgiving and Christmas and without the warming of weather in anticipation for summer that spring has!

Luckily, we have Restaurant Week and Broadway Week to look forward to!

Restaurant Week (January 24 - February 6)

$24 lunches and $35 dinners at places all over New York. Monday - Friday and sometimes Sundays (depends on restaurant). Start making reservations now for the best places!!

This year, I think I am going to try Jean George's Perry Street, Asia de Cuba and maybe a few others!

Broadway Week (January 24 - February 10)

This is the first time they're doing Broadway Week where you get 2-for-1 tickets to shows like Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and Jersey Boys!
