Southern BBQ: Allen & Son BBQ in N. Carolina

I went down to Durham again last weekend and was determined to try a new BBQ place! After much research and also getting awesome advice from someone at work (who was nice enough to ask local family and UNC alumna), we decided to try Allen and Son BBQ in Chapel Hill!

I am told that it's a bit out of the way from the UNC campus and it did look like the middle of nowhere... After parking in the gravel lot, we went in and found ourselves inside a cozy country home =P

Since my bf and I are on a no red meat challenge for the month of January, we got the BBQ chicken, the fried seafood platter and hush puppies. Everything was awesome, but I think this time, I enjoyed the HUSH PUPPIES the most!!! I want to go back and try the ribs when we can =P
